Hair loss can have many causes. One of the most common causes is hidden mineral deficiencies or excesses. Minerals are important building blocks that the body needs to maintain healthy hair (and nails). Heavy metal contamination or a lack of minerals can trigger various everyday complaints. Hair mineral analysis can provide initial indications of a mineral deficiency/excess or possible contamination with heavy metals. It is important to know which minerals exactly are missing. Our test makes this possible. You will also receive information about foods you should consume.

How does it work?
Once your order has been processed, you will be sent a sample collection kit. You collect your hair sample from the comfort of your own home and send it right back to Verisana partner laboratory. The lab analyzes your sample. Following the completion of the analysis, you will receive a lab report with information about the respective minerals and heavy metals. At the same time, you will find out whether these values are within the corresponding normal range and, whether they are in a normal ratio of one to one.
Note: Please use only hair that has not been dyed, bleached or permed in the last 60 days. This also applies to natural dyes, such as henna.
How long will it take to receive my findings?What are the results of the hair mineral analysis and what happens next?
Your findings include a comprehensive report on the balance of the above-mentioned minerals and heavy metals and include dietary recommendations. If necessary, you can discuss the results with your doctor.
Calcium to phosphorus ratio (Ca/P)
High calcium to phosphorus ratio indicates a slow metabolism.
Low Ca/P ratio, on the other hand, is an indication of a metabolic profile that is too fast.
Sodium to potassium ratio (Na/K)
The sodium to potassium ratio provides information about the state of exhaustion of the adrenal glands. When levels are high, the adrenal glands can be in a high state of stress, which can lead to exhaustion and associated symptoms (e.g. burnout).
Calcium to potassium ratio (Ca/K)
If the calcium to potassium ratio is high, the important thyroid hormones are poorly absorbed by the body's cells, which can cause symptoms of hypothyroidism.
Zinc to copper ratio (Zn/Cu)
A low ratio of the two antagonists zinc and copper indicates an excess of copper or possibly even copper poisoning. This is accompanied by a variety of health problems, such as emotional instability, estrogen dominance and hair loss.
Sodium to magnesium ratio (Na/Mg)
The ratio provides information about the activity of the adrenal glands. A high Na/Mg ratio is an indication of overactive adrenal glands, whereas a ratio that is too low indicates insufficient adrenal activity.
Calcium to magnesium ratio (Ca/Mg)
The Ca/Mg ratio is an important indicator of blood glucose regulation. A high value often leads to hypoglycemia and associated symptoms such as “afternoon lows”, food cravings, etc.
Iron to copper ratio (Fe/Cu)
A low Fe/Cu ratio can indicate a relative iron deficiency and associated problems such as anemia.
